TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

When traveling through the northern circuit Tarangire national parks is just one of the places you cannot miss, covering over 20,000km2 this park is famous for having the richest population of elephants in Africa that travel in herds along the Tarangire river, other exotic animals that can be found in this park include antelopes, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes and over 500 species of birds. Tarangire’s pythons climb trees, as do its lions and leopards, lounging in the branches where the fruit of the sausage trees disguises the twitch of a tail and thus offering beautiful and unique scenery.

The best season to visit the Tarangire national park is June- October, because of the dry conditions during this season’s animals can be seen along the river and feeding of the green vegetation of this park. The main activities to be enjoyed in this park include guided safari walks and Day trips to Maasai and Barbaig villages, as well as ancient rock paintings in the vicinity of Kolo on the Dodoma Road. The Sparse vegetation strewn with baobab and acacia trees makes it a beautiful and distinctive location to visit.
